It ain't no S&W , But it is the Mouse that roared.

You know guys , I was just trying to share what I think is a cool little gun I got. I don't understand why some people have to make cutting remarks (Paperweight). I'm sure just about every one here has more than one brand of guns in their collection. I for one love S&W but I also like other guns. I really enjoy reading about all kinds of guns from different people. I try to keep a open mind and learn new things every day. Maybe some day there will be a specific place on this forum to talk about any gun you might want to share. Thanks , John.

Your little revolver is new to me. Guess I don't get around much on the products offered by manufacturers other than S&W. :-). As to comments, I try very hard to remember what my mama once told me, i.e., if I can't say something nice, say nothing. In most day to day interactions, it's a pretty good rule.

I just now took a look at the NAA website. I was not aware that they offered such a variety of firearms. I did not know that they produced semi-automatic pistols as well as their standard single-action revolvers. Your little SA is in my estimate a improvement over the initial design. I like it. It has obvious utility for cc. After all, there are many people who need to cc but simply do not have the where with all to buy and develop razor edged skills with a larger caliber small framed handgun.

In my first pastoral assignment, one of my church members was a pharmacist. The company for which he worked strictly prohibited any employee from having a firearm on company property. Every day he slipped a little NAA into his pocket before going to work. It allowed him a measure of protection. I once worked at night doing unarmed security work in a shipyard. I would most assuredly have been thankful to have a small revolver such as this one that I could have carried in my pocket. One Saturday night not long after being hired, I blundered up on a dope deal. They started shooting and I ran like a rabbit. Happily I was not hit. If they had chased me, it might have gotten ugly. Very glad they also ran. Hiding in the dredging pipes it would have been nice to have had that NAA in my hands. JMHO. Sincerely. brucev.

I've known a couple of people who owned those and they liked them too. Some of the pushback you are getting stems from the fact that the forum sections are pretty rigid, and that gun doesn't fit the category. And it's also possible that some people, for reasons that are sound to them, just have no liking or only limited appreciation for really tiny firearms.

There is a Lounge section, and by definition that is where all non-S&W guns are (or should be) posted. Don't be surprised if a moderator moves your thread to that section.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. Nice little gun, and perty.

OP, your gun is very nice looking and you should absolutely be proud of it.

The comment about the performance was true and may have been a misunderstanding of the "discussion" you opened by posting a photo.

The .22 WMR is a rifle cartridge that gun makers have tried to develop handguns around. They tout that is has similar ballistics to a .38 special but that is misleading.

It is a fast little mover but the short barrels don't allow enough time for the powder charge to completely burn and develop max pressure and velocity.

As a BUG, it's much better than nothing and I doubt you would get someone to volunteer to stand in front of it.

However, if you do (and I would too) intend to place it in service, it would be wise to experiment with several types of ammo and test penetration and expansion.

The latter will be the biggest challenge.

Again though, that is a very sharp looking gun and is on my short list.

Thank you for sharing and indulging me in a bit of unsolicited advice.;)

I would not want to be on the receiving end of a 22WMR round. It is a devastating little load. Especially in CQC. The Pugs are cool as can be and the stags take that bugger right off the charts. Very nice indeed!

I'm trying to find one in .32NAA. I can't seem to find the gun or the ammo so a .22mag/22lr is a very reasonable plan B.

Thanks for sharing HK!

I agree with mouse and bad but nothing else...

Oh yeah , Bad to the Bone....

I can buy the mouse part and the bad part and unless they have greatly improved the quality of these I would prefer a couple of good smooth throwing rocks or a club to one. Someone mentioned a paperweight and that is in my opinion the highest and best use for one of these.

If you want a truly tiny mouse gun that roars I would suggest a .32 semi-auto by Seecamp or if you want a slightly larger I would suggest a Keltec .32. They will both get the job done as a BUG or deep under cover gun and they will not let you down.

For me my BUG is a 649-2 and on very rare occasions a 2" M60. I just like a .38 or larger for self defense and I am not a narcotics officer working undercover so I have no need for the tiniest gun that is made although there are even more absurd adventures in miniaturization of handguns than the one you have displayed.

You know , I never did say it was a carry gun , but thats ok , you go right ahead and keep talking. and while your at it , don't forget your carry rocks.......

thanks for sharing ,that is a cool little gun. i would own more than one of these "absurd adventures" if they werent prohibited here in the frozen north .
why do some people think that everything has to make sense? just do what you want, buy what you want and enjoy it. if the unhappy little trolls dont like what you bought for your own enjoyment, who cares?
ive seen 22lr kill dozens of beef, one shot. i doubt that a 38 spl would do as well . ive seen a 45colt fail to do the job, took 4-5 shots ,not pretty.

I guess great minds think alike! I have the same revolver only mine was purchased before they made the pug. My stags are not quite as nice as yours but the concept is the same. I am sold on NAA due to their customer service,I had purchased a .32 guardian and had problems with one of the mags falling out,all it took was a quick call an a new magazine release and a new mag were on my doorstep. The rep even talked me through the process and all was well. By the way both are built like a watch, fit and finish are superb.I usually carry a Wilson combat CQB,but both of my NAA firearms have their place for different situations.

A couple of years back I went out to help a friend and his neighbor repair a barbed wire fence between their properties. We loaded my buddy's John Deer Gator up with fence repair gear, and did not even think about guns. My buddy and I had to drive the Gator through a muddy slough filled with 4" of water.

We came out of the slough and stopped about 10 yards from a gate between the two properties. I grabbed the keys to the gate and started walking to open it so he could drive through. As I approached the gate I spotted a skunk about 20 yards on the other side of the gate. It started to run straight for me.

I'm thinking... It is broad daylight and a skunk is charging me! Bad skunk, rabid skunk! I break running to my left for the high grass and woods at a 90 degree angle to the skunk charge.

The next thing I heard was my buddy hollering for me to get out of there. Then this crazy friend goes running by me and I heard two pops. The skunk veered off into the woods 90 degrees to the left of his charge heading for the high grass and wood opposite us.

I turned to my friend and asked, what did you do, we did not bring any guns? He opened the palm of his hand and said, I always keep this in my pocket loaded with snake shot and showed me his NAA .22.

It did not kill the skunk, but it made him switch from the offensive to the defensive in very short order. Those little revolvers are very handy at times.

I've had an NAA Black Widow just about like that for many years. I mostly keep it full of CCI shot shells while piddling around in the woods on our farm in Georgia. I like it so much I bought one for two of my sons. I'll even admit that I stick it in my gym shorts pocket every so often when me & the wifey walk in the evenings. I might not be proud but I shore nuff ain't shamed neither. Thanks for sharing the cool grips.

I used to have the NAA mini in .22LR with the 1 5/8ths inch barrel. Got rid of it for no particular reason. The NAA guns are very finely built, they remind me of watches or jewelry. Very nice and relatively inexpensive for what you get.

And now BGs have to fear....wait for it....

The MIGHTY BOBCAT!!!

One FINE mouse gun, yessirreeeee. CCI Stingers...yessirreee.

That is a nice little revolver, and I will tell you an old saying goes that a hit with a .22 is better than a miss with a .44. I would not want to be on the receiving end of either.

I interpreted the terseness of the earlier back and forth as a misunderstanding of the OP's intention. I didn't take the "badness" he referred to as the caliber and size, but rather the custom grips. That said, I would never own or carry one of these micro-guns simply because they're not my taste. But I am curious as to their reliability. Anyone have an owner's perspective to share?

I took it as referring to the grips. My brother and I have had thr regular ones in .22LR for about 25 yrs. It amuses me to take mine out every once in a while and shoot a box or two of shells. If I am going to shoot a box it has to be a big box. Everybody needs at least one. I had never thought of loading with shot and shooting snakes. I am going to see how mine will pattern. Larry

I've always liked small guns. I look at them as something fun to have and shoot and not necessarily a defensive handgun.

And the one the OP has is a "bad one"! ...which is a "good thing"! :D
