It is a sad day: 3 LEO's killed, another critically injured

Because of the Calif. budget problem the state prisons are going to release 100,000 of these type of people on to the streets.

I pray that God will surround the families, friends and co-workers of my brothers in blue.

Evil is growing, but we will stand against it.

No, I don't believe you're ..." a little slow." I believe you are too emotional and have jumped to a huge conclusion in now relating a forum member's comment(s) with white supemacists hatred websites, pedophiles from white supremacists backgrounds, and making thinly veiled accusations that they may be a memeber of such groups, or a sympathizer to them.

There is nothing to backpedal away from except for a group of black people who were taunting Law Enforcement Officers arriving on the scene of 2 white officers shot in cold blood, by a wanted black felon. Now, remove the color of skin from all involved; a group of people almost cheering on the murders of 2 cops. It does not matter what color the bystanders were-they are sick. You [cmort666] are standing right now on the precipice of joining that group of 20 or so bystanders and taunting the back up LEOs showing up to the scene. Why? Do you believe the stereotypical jargon about gun enthusiasts being uneducated and are just trolling here for fun?
Here's a perspective you [cmort666] should take a closer look at, please; A group of 20 or so people are taunting LEOs as result of the murder of 2 cops, of another race. Why would the question of a "race war" be offensive and loaded to sound like a statement from a white suprmeacist's perspective? How did you jump to that conclusion, that this other forum member was a white supremacist and possibly a pedophile? You have gone far beyond the bounds of logic and reason in search of what you will not find here; hatred does not reside here.[/QUOTE]
I haven't seen pictures of those ***20*** idiots. Were they all Black? Partially Black? Some Black, some White? The initial Rodney King rioters were racially mixed.

Of course you have yet to explain to me how ***20*** people constitute a "race war" or even the farthest POSSIBILITY of one in the distant future. You CAN'T. ***20*** people wouldn't make a good race RIOT, nevermind a "WAR". This "race war" nonsense is racial fear mongering of the most idiotically craven sort.

It was a stupid comment when it was said. It's a stupid comment now. It'll be a stupid comment in 10,000 years.

Hysterical fear mongering based on NOTHING is every bit as stupid when it involves IMAGINARY "race wars" as when it involves imaginary climate catastrophes. The only difference is that Al Gore is a millionaire, while the "White Nationalists" can't even make their bail when they're popped for kiddie porn.

He has a known history of gun violence. He knew that he had missed parole meetings. His frustration was building up.

Now I ask, why didn't he turn himself in to his parole officer, or at least contact them?

What he did was get possession of a gun, avoid the parole office, and was ready well in advance for that inevitable confrontation with the police. He new ahead of time that if he got stopped, he would shoot the cops.

It doesn't sound like someone who wanted to turn his life around. Sounds like someone who just didn't have any respect for life at all.

If his family knew about all these things, why didn't they talk him into turning himself in, or warning the cops about him? They didn't care either, that's why.

Because that's not what stupid, malignantly narcissistic people do.

If he was determined to do the right thing, he wouldn't have BEEN a felon in the first place. He was more important than anyone else, at least in what passed for his own mind, and he acted accordingly. Other people eventually responded appropriately, and now he's not going to bother anybody else.

The only way to deal with some people is to kill them. He was one of those people.

My prayers go out to the fallen officers and their families. Heroes like these who confront evil, rather than go the other way or do nothing, don't come along every day.

I did note that many in the Oakland community are honoring these men and denouncing violence. As usual, good people will come forward and try to do the right thing. Let's not forget that the news media always tries to magnify the actions of a few. To them, that is news and sells advertising. The vast majority of folks of all races in this country are decent and moral law-abiding people. Sometimes we don't overtly show our outrage at public assemblies when something like this happens, but we feel it deeply. We are not news, but we are the bedrock upon which our society stands.

I have a couple of questions that I hope someday can be answered. Where did he get the the handgun? I know it can be traced by the serial number. After he left the first scene, all he had was a handgun. Where did he get the rifle for the second shooting, and who supplied it to him? If it can be determined who supplied him with these firearms, then they should be arrested and charged with murder.
