Wheelgunner, it sounds like it took place in that part of townOriginally posted by Wheelgunner840:
After reading the story, I get the feeling that the criminal was trying to avoid getting arrested, while the general populous there seems to want to see the cops killed.
Dare I ask if the fleeing murderous felon was white? Are we on the brink of race wars again? People taunting police at the scene where two officers were shot? What's up with that?
Prayers up for the freinds and family of the fallen officers.

The "general population"? Is this based on surveys conducted by you? What's your sample size? What's the margin of error?Originally posted by Wheelgunner840:

There are indeed a number of people in this country who want a "race war", most of whom are... WHITE. They run a number of websites, and chronically spam message boards and usenet. Fortunately, most of them are sniveling cowards. Unfortunately, while they're unlikely to pick up a gun, they're also likely to pick up a little boy at a public park.
In fact, that's probably EXACTLY how it happened.Originally posted by Wheelgunner840:
I think 20 people taunting the police at the site where two officers were slain is 20 too many. Maybe I should have worded it differently to suggest that a particular group called up their members and they all got down there pronto!![]()
It's based on personal experience and observation. As I recall, they were involved in the initial violence of the Rodney King debacle. Other communists are afraid of the RCP. I used to know a guy in Chicago who was a banned member of the African National Congress who worked as a "community organizer" on the south side of Chicago. He said they were trying to dupe people into an "armed uprising" and had to follow them around, telling people that as somebody who'd been in a REAL revolution, the RCP were just trying to get the gullible killed for their own obscure purposes. Is this based on surveys conducted by you?
I have extensive experience with those who run and frequent them. After all, I've received dozens of death threats from them, including what they thought were directions and maps to my house. Apparently they're unhappy when people point out their sexual interest in prepubescent boys. Can't say I would know any of this as I don't frequent those kind of sites. Do you?
Yet, apparently you thought a "race war" DID...I also have absolutely no idea what this has to do with the slaying of police officers.

It's not obscure at all. The RCP and it's various aliases (No Business as Usual Network, etc.) frequently show up in these situations, usually to incite violence for which other people suffer the consequences.Originally posted by Wheelgunner840:

When I said this, I was responding to the obscure (IMO) connection you made to this RCP group that you brought up. I am having a hard time understanding how you can make the leap to some perverted weirdo communist group, when racial tension is obviously an issue in the area. Recall the story about the 22 year old killed by the Oakland (Port Authority?)
"20 people" out of HOW many? That has EXACTLY the signature of the RCP.Yet, apparently you thought a "race war" DID...
Actually, if you read my initial post, I clearly stated that based on the fact that the murderer was a fleeing felon, he was most likely killing the cops to get away. What I did suggest might be racially motivated, was the 20 people in the "crowd" that were giving the responding officers a hard time.
Yet, your "race war" is NOT a stretch? You would rather make insinuations about hundreds of thousands of people with NO evidence. But yeah, the entire COMMUNITY wants a "race war", NOT a known group of agitators with a long track record, particularly in California...You think that this RCP group were the people harassing the police. I don't see the connection. Too much of a conspiracy theory for me. Are you saying that this RCP group saw an opportunity to stir up, if not elevate racial tensions, and jumped on it? I think that's a bit of a stretch in this case.

YOU are the one who initiated the use of that term, and without one IOTA of evidence.Originally posted by Wheelgunner840:

It's not "My race war." My exact words were: "Are we on the brink of race wars again?"
Ah, so now it's "racial tensions", NOT a "race war"???With the current elections as a back drop, I don't think it's a stretch to say that racial tensions are back on the rise.
It was PHRASED as in insinuation, whether you're backing off from it NOW or not. NOW, you "don't know if racial tensions are rising again"? Sounds like an attempt to be provocative, without ANY evidence. It was posed as a question, not an insinuation. I also asked if this is something that is going on out there as I live on the other coast and do not know if racial tensions are rising again.
What you said is what you said. You insinuated something about hundreds of thousands of people, yet you call a reference to known inciters of violence a "conspiracy theory". Yeah, right. Please don't attempt to change what I actually said to make your case. If what you are claiming is true, this is the first I have heard of such a thing. Still too much of a conspiracy theory for me to sign on to.
