It is January so I must be at the SHOT Show

Attended the first three days. Walked on average 6+ miles per day.

SHOT is sensory overload with the dial on 11. Too much to see , with far too many people getting in your way, as your trying to negotiate the show.

There are two floors full of exhibitors. It easily takes all day per floor.

Then throw in the LE/Military area on each floor. Even MORE cool stuff to look at.

I attend every 2nd or 3rd year. There IS a lot of Tactical stuff...but should it all go away...SHOT would still need several hundred thousand square feet to show off what's left. The Perazzi shotgun area alone ,would fill that Denny's.

The SIG P-365 was well received and caused a lot of buzz. They have a winner there.

Weatherby is moving their entire facility to Sheridan, Wyoming. Some happy folks at the Weatherby booth. 3600 jobs lost to California.

LMT who builds high end AR's is moving from Illinois to Iowa.

Brownells is coming out with a line of RETRO AR's. I am no early AR expert but they appear to be reasonably correct. The XM177 variant was really neat. Short and LIGHT....not like the 10 pound behemoth's with everything but a sink hanging off the rail. The XM variant was $1200 list.

NOVESKE apparently doing a 10mm AR PDW (personal defense wpn) a dedicated pistol lower not a cobbled up .223 lower with a spacer, etc. It's shown on the NOVESKE site. Set up to use HK Mags! WHY the HK mags is a puzzler. NO idea whether the UMP or the MP5 mags.
