Would gladly put up pictures BUT don't know how

So anybody out there who'd volunteer to teach an old dog a new trick send me the "How to ". ALSO ----- Anybody out there have a RELIABLE website where you can order bulk ammo as in Federal FMJ 9mm 115 Gr?!?!?

You should have asked how to post pictures THEN told us you have the gun back. NOW we are dying to see it and you are delaying us the pleasure!!!

CLick reply, then scroll down a bit to the 'manage attachments' button under 'Additional options'.

Click manage attachments and then click the 'choose file' button to pick the file from where it is on your computer. Click 'upload' when you are done and the picture will be uploaded to your message.

Now HURRY UP!!! :D

Does it look like mine? All kidding aside Robar does great work plus they do a lot more than plating.
You'll be very happy with your finish, making your Shield an even a better pistol.

Yes Mag

My M&P looks exactly like yours. It was your original post that drew me into this. Now i got the instructions of how to upload pictures and followed it BUT after hitting upload of the file it shows up nowhere that i can see.

Confused here.

Tried your directions Lost Lake hit upload after it showed the file was there to send and poof --- don't know where it went after that.

I'm thinking of doing the same job to my M&P's. Of all Robar finishing, which one did you apply to your gun?

Robar Finish

It was the NP3+ finish. They ran a special on it for just under $200. Turn around time was just under 4wks. Customer serrvice was real nice to deal with. Wanted to do Trijicons but they do not make them for the SHIELD as of yet. So my new CCW has grown in cost from $450 to $700 so far. I figure with Trijicons and maybeeeeee Crimson Trace on it it'll be a G-note gun when i'm done. Now mind you i'm printing this before the boss comes home from work. She's already not thrilled about my X-Tra allowance for the finishing :D :D

Okay, I'm going to add one and walk you through it.

So you click on manage attachments, then upload, and make sure your picture is a good format and under the maximum size, then when the upload is done the picture information will show under the 'current attachments window that pops up under the 'choose file' button and the 'upload file from URL' window.

Close that window and your picture will be there when you post.

There is another way to post pic on line in this forum!
  • Get a host like Kodak or Photobucket
  • Upload your Pics to that host
  • Click the add image icon in the two rows of options
  • Paste the URL (link) from that host

Here's my Shield 40 hosted by Photobucket shown below although it has no plating and probably will now but I might do it to my 40 full size and both my 45's

Pretty simple isn't it! You do not need to worry about the size of your photo since the host will take care of all that for you and the photo is part of the post instead of a clickable or mouseover attachment of small size!

If you go to Robars site they are always running specials. And it seems like November must be their slow season because that's when I've found the best specials. To date I've had them do 4 of my M&Ps and even a couple of my Beretta PX4s. For a working pistol that may see rain, snow or sweat the NP3 finish can't be beat.

You will love the NP3 finish. It not only looks good, and cleans up super easily,it is very resistant to scratching and wear also. The NP3 plus may even be better. I have two guns in regular NP3. Expensive, yes. But a great finish, and you can't beat a lifetime guarantee.

Congrats on the Shield refinish.

Good luck with yours, you just made a good pistol even better. My 9c which I've carried for years still looks like the day it came back from Robar. The only hint of wear, after a couple of cases of ammo thru it, is on the top of the chamber where it reciprocates back and forth under the slide. Holster wear is nonexistant.
