Aloha,

Recently the temps here where we live has dipped into the mid 60s at night.
This is COLD for me.
The Wife is FROM Minnesota and Laughs at me.

We've been having a "discussion" about my getting a Real heater. Right now I have a $20 heater from Wal Mart which lives under my desk. It does a great job keeping my diabetic feet comfy.
Today, while cruising thru the end of year clearance sale ad at the local hardware store, I saw they had a Mr Heater Buddy heater on Sale for $50.

The reaction I got from Customer Service was funny. Like, "What! We have WHAT on Sale(in Hawaii!)"
I showed them the ad. It took them a few minutes of searching on their computer and they did find they actually had 2 in stock.
They must have had them for a Long time as they were buried in the corner of a back shelf. So long that the bright red color had faded to a dull pink.

I am now the Happy owner of a Mr Heater heater in Hawaii.

I just let the dogs out and the Weather says the temp is/was 64.
I am sitting in my patio which gets the cool ocean breezes in the day time. At midnight, it's Cold ocean breezes.
With Mr Heater on Hi, I am comfy in T shirt & shorts.

The Wife says that I am always good for a laugh or 2.

Hope you folks get a chuckle out of this.

Happy New Year.

I think 30s are cold and I get told my by father who was stationed in Alaska that I don't know cold...

6:21 am = -12 degrees, without wind chill. At least that is what the puter weather says.

winter is back after an unusually warm dec.

Mid 60's, I wish I got that in the summer, most mornings in July & August when I go out it's mid 50's to low 60's.:)

I have had this discussion with many folks over the years.
Cold is warm to another.
When it gets below 70 degrees--for me--I get cold.
Your results may differ.
Blessings

Below 70 I start looking for my gloves. It's 18 outside right now and I have to go out to feed the poor frozen beasts. At least the flies and bugs are history for a while, otherwise this isn't amusing.

I moved from NJ to Atlanta 4 years ago. I had some nice winter coats. I think they are still in the basement in a box.

But we did have Snowpocolypse last year after less than 2 inches fell and shut down the city for a week.

27 degrees this morning. This is the second time it's gotten below freezing this year. No snow though. :D

After a very warm fall (only got our second snow storm last weekend and the snow has melted already), we got down to 6 last night. Hope we get some snow or the salmon run will suck!

We've only been getting below freezing a few times during the day.

When I went out for my coffee this morning it was 23.

Daybreak this morning was 8 degrees here with light snow and 25 mph north winds. It is up to 10 degrees now and chill factor is -8 degrees. Too nasty to be outside for sure.

0 degrees here right now in Iowa. Gonna get a bit cooler tonight. I have lived here all my life this is not cold.......more like fresh.
Still remember the day it was TRULY cold. 3 February, 1996. I remember because it was the day of my Gramdmothers funeral. That morning at my acreage it was -36 degrees. We did not have a graveside service. THAT was cold.

-17° as I type this along the MO River 5 miles downstream from Craig.
But the sun IS out.
