I just wrote a long post on Friday the 13th only to have it disappear before I could post it. This after 4 hours on the phone finding out why my new iPad didn't work and being asked to send it back. NO, there's nothing to this Friday the 13th stuff! By the way, Friday the 13th comes on Sunday next month.

My wife was born on a Friday the 13th - with a knotted umbilical cord. The first part is true. The rest could be family lore as I wasn't there at the time. (we married young but not that young)

I made it to deer camp just fine... after the ice storm tuesday electricity and water got switched on at 5:30 today.. only a few more hours and it will be the 14th.. no worries

My father's 97th birthday was today. He had a Martini, some egg foo young, a glass of champagne & a piece of birthday cake. He recited his Dorothy Parker Martini poem and went off to bed. So it was a good luck day here.
