Hi guy's I finally got my 686-3 2.5 in. today, my gun guy from Montreal said it was lightly used.I don't think it has been shot,no staining on the front of the cylinder, barrel anywhere.I'm happy for $575 tax and shipping in now I would like to know when it was made if someone can tell me?The serial num.is bkz6630 thanks a lot.:D

Congrats on a good one. Looks like the first part of 1992.
I thought you guys north of the border could not have short barrel guns? Special license or something?

Let me add, you got it at a good price.

That is a good deal I just saw one posted here in va a 686-1 2.5" for $700 nice looking with combats on it. I just am not in to shooting snub .357's. I like 4 inch or more unless it's my dad's 27-2 in the 3.5".

Thanks it has s&w combat grips as well, and yes I have had hand guns since 1984.In I think 95 they made anything under 4.2 in.restricted and therefore it is grandfatherd,so when I die so does it or I can sell it to some one that has a restricted license.sucks don't it.

You did do well on the price! I paid $580 for my 686-3, (2yrs ago) but it is a 6". The short barrels normally fetch higher dollars. Really can't beat a L frame. Enjoy it! Bob

Thank you, everyone yes I'm very happy with it.and in my last quote I meant prohibitated not restricted thanks.:)
