This blasted curse of a forum has costs me more money since I joined than I can afford to keep up with. You guys renewed my interests in the 9mm caliber of late, after I used to scourge the thought of owning a 9mm. I haven't purchased a 9mm in nearly 20 years! Now I've bought two in the past two weeks BECAUSE OF YOU ALL!!! RATS! Mind as well show them off

Show and tell is always fun! We're just the messengers. What you do with the message is up to you!

Um, Firehouse, I assume you already have a 1911?

No, not a 1911 fan as of yet. Just can't get a thing for them. Maybe I'm crazy, I don't know.

Hi Firehouse Firearms,
Congratulations on your two fine 9's.
Enjoy!

Very nice pair of 9s Firehouse, now ya just need to add the LS and a 3914...and 5906...and 6906...and...!! Well you get the idea. I've got that affliction with the 40s.

Cheers,
Sam

I have THAT problem already! I have 3 Colt Delta Elites, 6 1911's of last count. I'm dipping my toe in the S&W pond, I just bought a neat NIB 410S with Crimson trace this past weekend. I'm eyeballing a 1006 for the 10 collection, and I'm jonseing for a 2.5 - 4" non-lock 686 wheel gun. Now if you RELOAD, the habit is even WORSE, because you shoot MORE, then you WANT MORE, it's a never ending cycle!

When I first started as a police officer, I was issued a 5906. The gun was a spare and I was the first one it was issued to. I carried that gun for three years. We were then issued Glock 22's. I could really feel the difference on the hip. The PD traded the 5906s in on the Glocks. I was able to purchase my 5906 back from the dealer for about $220 I think (it was about 10 years ago.) I never really appriciated that gun until a few years later. It is a nice shooting gun. The weight (compared to the Glock) helps counter the recoil so it is easy to stay on target. 9mm ammo is relatively inexpensive so it is fun and economical to shoot. The 5906 is still one of my favorite guns. Enjoy your nine.

I have the same affliction.Found the dealer to get my NIB CS9 here after being directed to Guns America.Next came the Custom Derin Grips and Night Sights and a trigger job and conversion to DAO by the S+W armorers. Now it is alot of ammo and range time. What a great disease and group to share and build it with....God Bless.......Mike

I looove Smith 9mm's. My 5906 is probably my most favorite gun ever. I bought it new in 93 when I started in law enforcement. Since then I've accumulated approx 20 or more Smith handgun's. I can't stop.
