Looking for recommendations on a Kydex holster for my new investment for CCW. Most likely carried at 5-O-Clock position. Anywhere else is just too obvious on my frame (5'8" 151 lbs) except front and center, which isn't the most comfortable. I haven't found much in the way of "snap in" holsters(tension). Just the OWB style which wont work for me. I simply can't conceal it that way. If it could hold an attachment as well, even better, but not needed. Thanks for the input!

I use Galco king tuck for my Glock and a Crossbreed for my S&W 5946. Both are kydex and leaather IWB, both at about 8 o clock. Both are very good. I prefer the Crossbreed slightly over the Galco because it seems to take the shape of ny body easier. a little more flexible leather.

I use Old Faithful IWB hybrid holsters. http://oldfaithfulholsters.com/shop/category/hip-holsters/ I have two, one for my glock 19/23/27, and another for my S&W 638 and 640. After a short break-in time I have found them to be very comfortable for all day carry. They are very stable and keep the gun from shifting around, and I also like the adjustability of the tension. If you don't mind spending 15 minutes (I got the Stage 3 kits) or so doing the final assembly they are very economical as well.

After using them for several months now, for hours at a time, sitting, driving, standing, whatever, the only negative I can say about them has to do with the clips. The clips work fine for the most part, but the little tang portion protrudes out too much, IMO. I kept snagging the rear one on my seat back when I climbed into my Jeep. I can also see that in time they would produce wear and tear on your clothes. For just a few $, I ended up replacing the original clips with the kydex ones from Comp-Tac http://www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=81 and they work very well with no protruding parts. I also ordered a 1 1/4" belt from Old Faithful and find it to be of high quaility and to work very well with the 1 1/4" holster clips I ordered from Comp-Tac. For some reason the 1 1/4" Comp-Tac clips are only $2 a piece so I ordered enough for both holsters as well as a few extras.

I have an Old Faithful also, bought the stage 3 kit and love it, carry at 3:30 the stage three kit is inexpensive and all you do is screw it together, they supply everything you need.
