J Frame: Bodyguard vs. Centennial

[/QUOTE]Interesting that you should say that, as I have recently switched to J-frame revolvers for pocket carry. (I own a 442 and a 640.) There is something about the shape of the revolver that lends itself to being drawn from a pocket. The block shape of a semi-auto grip, (even the small ones,) seems more prone to getting hung up when being drawn from a pocket.

Exactly, I have to rock the Kahr forward a bit and if it was a high stress situation...well you know how that could go.

1 more vote for the bodyguard

I had a 642 for several years and carried it every day. I sold the 642 to buy a 438 bodyguard. I now carry the 438 with crimson trace grips everyday.

I like having single action as an option, and I prefer the darker finish of the 438 or 442 over stainless.

It does build up a little lint ball behind the hammer, but as other have stated it's a non-issue.

On a different note, to me the bodyguard style frame has an almost iconic look due to the famous Vietnam era photo of the Saigon Police chief executing a captured VC on the street.
