J Frame Grips - Covering the Backstrap

I like boot grips a lot. But, I would like to try something larger on my 36-6, 3", with adjustable sights. That way I would get more practice with a J-frame at the range.

I recently bought a pair of S&W Mod60 Pro Comp Grips for my M&P340. The backstrap isn't covered, but they extend about a finger width past the frame. The S&W website has a picture of them on the M-60. They feel great, and accomodate speed loaders.
They are not listed in the parts section, but can be gotten by calling S&W, SKU#41174000.

The problem is the 3 in 340. I had to sell my Airlites as I couldn't shoot 20 rds of ammo with out pain. My arthritis has caused me to put pachys on my airwieghts. They don't conceal as well but with them I can do a 60 rd qualification course.

What is your favorite J frame grip that covers the backstrap, but is still (as much as possible) concealable?
I think the current generation of S&W boot grips are great, but I always end up limiting my range time more than I should. My aching hand -- to be honest even with 130 grain jacketed range ammo fired from a 342 or 340 -- makes me ask for your input.
Thanks in advance,
Scott

If you want a covered backstrap, get Pachmayr Compac. The Compac pro does not have a covered backstrap.

For pocket carry, I find the open-backstrap Bantams to be best for me.

If I need max comfort, I have a set of Pachmayr Decelerator grips that I sawed off level with the bottom of the grip frame, rounded the edges. Bigger, but very soft on the backstrap.

I found an old set of Packmayr Presentation grips, on the bay. This was my favorite grip for 4" Colt Diamondbacks. They seem a little large, but should work well on my Target model 36-6.
