Hey first a big thank you to everyone on this forum, I have been getting information from you guys for what must be years now and have never needed to post until today to find comprehensive answers to all of my questions.
I just left a gun show here in Nashville with this set of grips for my 37; it was wearing what I think are called pc magnas, and while they concealed great and pointed well they just didn't do the trick under recoil. I don't know anything about them and would love a bit more info on what they are, approx value( make sure I didn't get ran for those hard earned $$$) etc. I paid 50$. Also, as shown in the picture, it does not sit flush with the backstrap, is the normal?

Thanks in advance for you time, Cameron.

Greetings & welcome aboard. Those grips are the smooth target style for a square butt J frame while your 37 has a round butt grip frame. More common to find them in the checkered style but I'm no expert.

I've never seen factory grips as light in shade as yours appear but I also learned a long time ago to "never say never" especially when it comes to S&W lol.

I'm sure more knowledgeable folks will be along to give more info.

Thanks very much for the welcome S&W Fan, but here is a picture of the gun sans the grips; I thought that this was a square butt?

Those are right and, yes, yours is a square butt. The grips should be flush at the back but due to manufacturing tolerances (regarding both the grip frame and the grips themselves), you can end up with a slightly less than perfect fit. There's not much you can do about that except try different grips until you find a set that fit better. You did about right price-wise on those.

Color me embarrassed lol. That's what I get for assuming something!! db obviously provided better info, as I said I'm no expert nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night haha (can't find the smilies for some reason).
