J frame OWB?

Another Don Hume JIT fan here. I like this holster because it works better for me than any other J-frame holster I've tried. The fact that it's cheap is a great bonus.

But once I found pants with pockets that work for the purpose I've transitioned to pocket carry the vast majority of the time.

Anyone carry their J frame OWB?

Some of us are not shaped to have anything in our pants but us. Getting bigger pants only means that you have to cinch the belt down tight and your back to not shaped to.....

Pocket carry is great unless your sitting down. Cargo pockets are great for sitting, but when walking the gun is banging you in the knee with each step.

J frame for weight or do ya just bit the bullet and carry a bigger cannon.

I use OWB for ALL my carry guns. Don't like pressing a hunk of metal (or plastic) up against my hip.

Yes, absolutely use a belt holster for J-frames. In my Chief's Soecial years, I used a black Bianchi 5BH (not BHL) that was super thin, but held the gun securely, and weighed almost nothing. Very nice holster, but I ridiculed it because it was black. (I strongly prefer tan leather.) I think it finally got even with me and disappeared. I have no idea where it went.

Nowadays I am more likely to use a Centennial, and I too have a JIT slide for that model - also for the P365. My days of IWB carry are about over, and I'm not fond of pocket carry.

I'd love to find one of those Safariland holsters like Crazyphil shows. Very classy rig, IMO. ;)

I regularly have people sitting behind me. We sit in folding metal chairs. If someone has a gun on their belt it is obvious to those behind you. I'm obsessive about not letting anyone know I carry. That's why I won't carry on my belt.

I carry my mod 36 sometimes OWB in a Bob Leahy Simply Rugged holster and I really like that holster it rides high and stays snug on my belt and the way it is molded keeps the gun secure. The J frame is an easy piece too carry.
