I have a S&W 642 Jframe-a member of the NRA & a new gun enthusiast. I want to get a lighter trigger pull as the recoil is huge & no fun to shoot at the range! Should I just keep practicing? Lol
Also I'm looking into buying S&W MP 2.0 for conceal carry... any opinions..

CCW & New NRA member wants advice

I'm a new gun enthusiast & a member of the NRA & took course, "Basics of Pistol Shooting"! I am continuing to be instructed & bought a S&W 642 but the recoil IS TOUGH... I'm thinking of buying the S&W MP 2.0 9mm or the Shield. Any opinions I'd appreciate

Goodlookinout; what are you firing through your 642? Also, what kind of grips is it wearing?
Even if your gun says '.357', that caliber is WAY too much to shoot in such a small frame (in my opinion). Try .38 Specials; they are far more comfortable to shoot and CONTROL in a J-frame.
Hand-filling grips are also essential to absorb recoil.
