All the guns worth buying are already owned by forum members

True - In Texas, a carry permit eliminates the need for doing an FBI background check. I don't know how many states are the same. And of course in many states, private (non-dealer) sales do not require a background check.

Well my wife who has been licensed sine 1982 finely bought her first own gun in January. A Ruger .22 semi Auto. She was part of the back load!

She joined a group of "Armed Galls" and wanted to get a gun to shoot indoors with them.

She has five of my guns on her permit but there all small CCW type guns. Reason she got her permit back then was due to NYS crazy gun laws and the fact of legal problems if I died.

On occasion if circumstances warrant she sometimes will take a PPK .380 with her. Some mornings if she cannot sleep she will go to the 24 hour Gym (around 4AM) that is about 20 miles away.
