This is my first post on the forum. I have a set of Jay Scott 19A
grips for my S&W model 36. I bought them on Ebay and they did
not come with a screw. Does anyone know where I can get a
screw for these grips? What size is the grip screw? I have tried
everything I can think of and cannot find a screw or the screw
size. Thanks in advance for any help with this problem.

I do not have my calipers handy so I can not give you specifics on the screw. I can tell you that JS grips use a common round head machine screw that can be found at hardware store. Take the grips with you and I'm confident you'll have success.

I did take the grips to Home Depot and did not have any luck
finding a screw to fit. Maybe it's a metric thread.

Home Depot should be the very last place to look for something like that. Look for a real hardware store.

If you have no luck at the hardware store, most Jay Scott screws are standard in size and interchangeable. You may be able to find a junk busted set of grips complete with screw for a few bucks on the auction sites.
