Jeff Bridges

I must agree on Jeff Bridges' role in "Hell or High Water" as being very well done.

Someone mentioned "The Big Lebowski". I attempted to watch that one twice; couldn't get very far into it either time. That dud was far from Bridges or John Goodman's better works.

Love every character he's ever played. He won me over as Star Lord's father (and a planet) in the second "Guardians of the Galaxy". Then made me laugh out loud when he showed up reprising "The Dude" in a beer commercial. :)

Sorry Bud....but that was Kurt Russell....in guardians...

I have to agree...I love the original...it might be my favorite John Wayne movie, but Bridges character was so believable, you could almost smell him!

True Grit is my favorite John Wayne movie, but it's John Wayne being John Wayne.

After reading the book "True Grit", you'll realize that Bridges did a much better job portraying Rooster Cogburn as depicted in the original story.

Hell or High Water is a good movie and Jeff Bridges does play a good part in it.
I do like most of his movies and I think he is pretty versatile with the roles he plays!

Bad Company is another fairly decent Western from Jeff Bridges early career. Available on Prime.

I prefer his Rooster Cogburn over John Wayne's.

I just viewed "Hell or High Water" (again) and suddenly dawned on me that I really like Jeff in western roles as a old fashion Lawman. (True Grit also).

I also like Hell or High Water!

No spoilers, but the last scene with the grinding rocker pumps is maybe one of the best I've seen in any movie.

How bout that Ellen Barkin?
How much does she look like Ca-Lam?

No further comment.

Pictures will tell it better.

I think it is one of those movies that one either loves or is bored by. While it is very popular now, across generations — my kids love it, too — when it first came out in 1998 it was pretty much a flop.

And here is an entertaining interview with Bridges, Goodman, and Buscemi on the movie: YouTube
