Why do they have to mess with jelly beans?

They've been fine whatever you've got regionally all my long life. Now you don't know what flavor for color you'll get.

I had one reminded me of ... naup, lost it, musta been them new jelly beans.....:D

I love Jelly Bellys. I like each color individually. But some flavors don't combine well with others. Wish I could figure out the offending combos. Grabbing a handful outta the bag is a risk.

Jelly Bean Drink

Shot glass

Fill to line with Anisette liquor "Stock" good brand

Add small amount of Grenadine, it will sink to the bottom.

Lace the top with 100 proof Southern Comfort

Light on fire, wait about 10 seconds, blow out

Down the hatch, liquid Jelly Bean with a kick.

I've vastly preferred Jelly Belly since I read about Reagan keepng them on his desk. Wonderful array of flavors, too.

Try Lifesaver Jelly Beans. I find them the best, and just the old traditional flavors. Orange, Lemon, Green Apple, Cherry, and Grape. I like my jelly beans like my revolvers,....traditional.

On the island in the kitchen is a large jar of mixed ones. Open the lid and all the various flavors mix together and give off the unmistakable odor of - garbage. Its going to my son's house to get eaten by the hoards. It won't last a couple of days. One flavor at at time is the only way to consume them.

My grand plan had been to put them in the jeep as we drove west a few weeks ago, eating them with great pleasure. Then I discovered the flavors don't mix well.

Have you ever tried some Bernie Botts Every Flavor Jelly Beans? Sardine, grass, vomit you take a serious risk with those!!!

I don't get them...they're not beans and they have no jelly in them...

I'm not a candy person at all but I do have an addiction to jellybeans. The only ones I've ever found that I don't like are the ones containing pectin. All the rest are my favorites.

Wasn't Ronald Regan a great fan of Jelly Bellies?

No, but Ronald Reagan was. (Spelling issue.)

You must have missed my post above. The media reported that he kept them in a jar on his desk in the Oval Office. That intrigued me, and I tried them. Shouldn't have. I became mildly addicted, I think. ;) In fact, I'm about to go to the grocer, and will get some.

I especially like the tropical fruit flavors.

Jelly Belly beans and Ghiradelli chocolates are two of the best things to emerge from California. :)

I'm sitting here now eating Jolly Rancher jelly beans. Always buy 4 or 5 bags around Easter hping I can make them last.

I have to go with Lifesaver Jellybeans. Jelly Bellies are too expensive, and have certain flavors that no sane person would knowingly put in their mouth, and Starburst beans have some artificial sweetner that makes my heart race. Give me the Lifesaver flavors everytime.

Sorry I have had the Flu this week and I have an attention span in the seconds.

Sorry. Been there; done that. No fun. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. :)

I wasn't trying to be churlish. But sometimes, the spelling here gets to me. And I'm a Reagan admirer. Between him and Dame Thatcher, we finally saw an end to the Cold War, and the poor man was operating at less than full capacity due to encroaching Alzheimer's.

Now, the NYC police chief played by Tom Selleck on, "Blue Bloods" does spell his name Regan, I think. :D I can see how that becomes confusing. My own last name often confuses people, who write a shorter version of it. And it's a fairly simple English name, if people will just pay attention. I sometimes have to ask about pronouncing Czech or Polish, etc. names. But I do pay attention to spelling them.

Anyway, get well, and thanks for not getting irate.
