Horn and Hardart Automat

Most folks are too young to remember A&P stores.

So speaking of being too young to remember, I remember my favorite eating out place, the Horn and Hardart Automat in New York. Think there are probably not too many still around that have been to an Automat.

I maintain a stash of at least nine different beans and blend a combination of 15 grams of medium and 10 grams of dark roast every morning.

The beans come from roasters across Wyo, and they're available in a variety of local shops.

As Shane at the local appliance store says, "Hey, turn around. Shop in town."

So speaking of being too young to remember, I remember my favorite eating out place, the Horn and Hardart Automat in New York. Think there are probably not too many still around that have been to an Automat.

I remember going to them back in the early 1960s when I went to NYC with my dad. I thought they were the greatest thing since sliced bread.
