The 625 can fire the ACP round without moons, but it is more convenient to use the moon clips.

If you have a 625JM, Rimz Poly moon clips are great for the range. No tools needed, and no sore fingers. JMO. Bob

I love my 45 acps and 45 colts. I load my 45 colts up beyond factory, and wouldn't worry about 45acp +p. They are fine guns and far from the old 1917 or single action army 45 colts, but the 45 supers 28,000psi range would be pushing it to far for my comfort.

I don't think that it will chamber the .45 Super.
