He was a good person and meant well in everything he did.

Very well respected, and great works after he left the Presidency. Well educated, was a nuclear engineer and captained an atomic submarine while in the Navy.
He was a good man. May he rest in peace.
A good man; a decent man; a man of high character and integrity. As others have said, he accomplished more after his time in office than during his tenure. Now he’ll be with Roselyn . RIP Mr. President.
He seems like a very decent man.

More like ineffective than worst. The disastrous Iran hostage affair was his Waterloo, but not the only one. He was not inspirational in he least, he made some serious economic blunders, and he managed to make enemies of Tip O’Neil and Teddy Kennedy. Not a good idea.

I have said it elsewhere, he was easily the best man to ever hold that office.

He was affiliated with the Navy Nuclear Power Program early on, but never completed training and never served aboard a nuke sub and certainly never commanded one.
