Going up to visit the FIL next week in PA.
Anybody know of any good places that visitors can shoot at in/around Johnstown?
Don't want to travel as far as Altoona if I can help it. Maybe around J-town, Bedford, Somerset area.
Pistol, rifle, shotgun, whatever.


Also, how is the ammo situation up there? Same as the rest of the country???


Any members live close by want to meet for a lunch/shoot?

Sorry I can't help you much, I live about 1 1/2 hours East. I know there is a pretty good club in Hollidaysburg, but if you don't want to go as far as Altoona Holidaysburg isn't much better. Wish you well, hope some locals step up to the plate, doesn't look good for Pa. Hospitality.

Should be state game lands you can shoot on.
Go to the smallest diner and just ask a local, You may be surprised at the info you will get and someone may let you use their land.
I am frequently in Sullivan county Pa, And found some great ammo prices on dusty old boxes, I picked up many boxes of 30-30 for $9 a box last fall.

If you want to travel google Western Pa 30 cal and this should bring up Reade range outside Altoona. Give them a call and see if they have any matches going on while your home
