I just bought a 627-5 pro and it is very accurate and after oiling it the trigger action is also very good. I bet you are really going to like your new 66-8.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Looks like I joined the right family. I just about purchased a GP100 because all the S&W revolvers I wanted were out of my price range but the deal fell thru. Then an amazing deal on this 66-8 came up and I siezed the moment. I guess it was destiny.

Great choice. My first S&W firearm was a 66-2. It is the very last firearm I would ever part with, unless I end of Tango Uniform, in which case my oldest son has already selected this as his inheritance gun. You will enjoy this revolver.
Yesterday I purchased my 1st revolver and am pleased to be an owner of the new Model 66-8 Combat Magnum.

Get that Smith to the range... .357 Magnum is a great round, and with the option of shooting .38 Special the 66 was a great first pick.
