I was flipping channels on the tv yesterday which is something I rarely do, when the channel stopped on some show called Judge Judy. It was like a train wreck I didn't want to look but I did, for about 2 minutes. I am happy to say that I have never had any dealings with the judicial system but someone please tell me our judicial system isn't anything like the farce I saw on the boob tube yesterday. Thanks for letting me rant and answering my question. Larry

train wreck???!!!! she got paid 45 million dollars to do that!! I watch it all the time, cause theres nothing else to to at 3pm. if you watch it again, watch the gallery, there is 2-3 people that are constantly seated in the gallery.

Are you kidding? I love Judge Judy! She's like Ann Landers in a black robe.

"Grow up!" :D

You missed her husband on the peoples court.
He makes her look like a walk in the park on a spring day.

Judge Judy is a real biotch and a real laughing joke on our judicial system, as are all the other "true court" shows that are on the boob tube. I detest them all!!!!

ok it didn't stop there all on it's own, one of the girls on trial was kind of cute so I stopped to see what was happening. I honestly could not believe someone didn't smack the Judge. I guess that's why I don't watch much T.V. Thanks Larry

She's guilty...of laughing all the way to the bank! People like her because she tries to infuse some common sense into a system that is in short supply.

My wife is a JJ fan. I can't stand JJ's approach to 'justice'. She is really only a mediator and everyone signs a business contract before they appear on the show. It is all show bis and the theme is "Stupid People Getting Yelled At by an Impersonal Biotch". I just quickly walk thru the room and shut the door to my office. ....... Big Cholla

I have served on two Juries and both Judges were very professional in contrast to that squeaky horrid wench.

I've seen it a couple of times, shows like this always seem to be on in waiting rooms in auto service departments, hospitals, etc. IMO, it is geared for those with double digit IQ's, television for the lowest common denominator.

She sure is a piyannra! Liked old judge Whoppner who started those court shows.

Just as all those CSI shows should be labeled science fiction, Judge Judy and similar shows should be labeled fantasy.

Judge Wapner was all right. In fact, quite good. For those that don't know, he was Chief Judge in Los Angeles (125 judges to supervise then). He heard the Lee Marvin palimony case.

I see too many new attorneys who believe a court is conducted as one might see it on Law & Order or one of these small claims shows. Real small claims is a lot less hot-tempered. Also, most small claims judges are overworked and underpaid.

My own brother was in court representing a client; the other party on the stand. My brother's turn to question the opposing party. My brother's client whispered, "Ask him this question". (The question need not be repeated here.)

My brother said, "I can't ask him that. The judge would throw us both in jail".

My brother's client shot back, "Just say, 'Withdrawn!'"

My brother went on to bring the case to a satisfactory conclusion, but his client is still mad that my brother wouldn't ask the obviously improper question.

I used to work with her daughter in law and from my understanding her son was a cop in one of the local cities. I have a sweet autographed portrait too :D.
