This morning I attempted to swap the sear release lever on my Model 39, and what an adventure. After taking things apart, I swear I had every piece out of that frame that could accidentally shake loose, and no idea of where to put them back. Regardless, after discovering that the sear release lever that Numerich sent me was even smaller than the "worn" original, I put it back in (I can still decock by pushing on the back of the slide) and started putting it back together. Thank the good Lord I got all of the pieces back in, and as far as I can tell it's functioning correctly, though a test fire is in order. Talk about a heart attack when 3 pieces fell out of the grip and I had no idea from where :)

At least I have a better idea of how the thing works now...

Even after doing disassembly and reassembly a few times, and I think I know how to do it pretty good, I still watch the bluebelly2 videos on youtube while I'm doing it. If I don't seems like I will always forget something and a spring will go flying or something worse.
