About 30 years ago I bought a Marlin 995 auto loader. Great little .22 carbine-classic walnut stock. I had it set up with a scope for decades then switched to a ghost ring set up. It's very handy that way as a utility rifle.
About 8 years ago I bought a Polish military surplus Wifama wz78 bolt action .22 trainer. They were built with target stocks and adjustable triggers. Essentially a 9 pound .22 target rifle. I sporterized it by removing the AK sights, adding a scope, and changing the plastic trigger guard for a steel one. It's very accurate but heavy.
Two years ago I got the bug for a lighter, classic .22LR bolt rifle and bought a 455 American. It's a superb rifle! Elegant and accurate. It's just enjoyable to shoot.
