I just bought a used M&P 45 from my local gun shop and cannot wait to go and send a few rounds down range. I think I got a great deal, original box, paperwork, and 5 magazines. It is the mid size frame with a 4" barrel and no safety. This is my first semi-auto without a safety (9 years USMC so I am very used to safety's). I dis-assembled the weapon and checked it as best I could, so I feel pretty comfortable it is ready to go. Any advice from the experts out there? Anything special I need to think about or look for? Thanks in advance.

My 2009 manufacture date M&P 45FS has a very 'gritty" trigger, almost unbearable. I installed an APEX DCAEK and it is a new gun...I am extremely happy with it now.
I love mine.. It is my most accurate handgun I own (13) at 25ft. Pistols and revolvers both. Enjoy.
