Just couldn't stand it no longer...(My Ol' 3rd Model HE)

Wells Son,

All I can say is just hang around with a bunch of crusty ol
farts on sum gun forum sumwheres and wait for one of 'em
to drop their guard and open up their treasure chests for a peek. :D;)

Su Amigo,
Dave

I shore wish you old coots would get all excited over oriental ivory with dragons and other scary stuff carved in them. Guess those range steers are all docile enough for that 44 to handle.

Anybody know why someone else would spend a month or more pay to ruin some nice Ivory just to carve some imaginary critter on the sides. Mine don't even have glowing red eyes. I wonder if that'd be an improvement to the dragons. I helps the cows look real.

CRUSTY I don't mind>>> But Old COOT?????? Hmmmm ;):D

Why Dick,
I ain't never seen a real dragon, that I recall anyhows...;):D

Su Anigo,
Dave

Why I do believe that right thar is a Georgia Dragon>>;):D

I always heard not to ride paint horses or mess with red headed women.
I had a friend who rode a paint horse and married a red headed woman. The horse broke his back and the woman broke him.

That right thar is jest 'bout the long and short of it fer sur.

I've got one of each...They's jest about to fast fer me! :D

Ridin sumthin a might slower these days. ;)

They don't look slow to me. They're movin' so fast the last couple don't even cast a shadow!

And didya know, the Mt Sterling Court Days we talk about every October was the largest Mule market in the country? Yep, for years and years.

I'd say this forum has a lot of rich folks on it that ain't got too much money but they are plumb stocked up on friends.

Don't git much better'n that.

Carved Ivories or ones with no carvin' or purty wood, but no MOP! Please!:D;)

A jest of the weather or the risin' cost of gettin by.

Wonder what gold closed at yesterday?

Here's my old girl, Betty Boop. She is 22 years old, stands 14.2, and weighs about 900 lbs. She is out of a Belgian draft mare and sure looks a lot like the mules in that picture.

PS: Guess which picture is NOT Betty Boop. :D

That there looks like a race horse dreamed up by our present Congress

I have posted this pic before. Just don't think you can beat these service style on my Reg. Magnum 5". Steer head on old blue gun reminds me of lawmen of the past. Bought this one from former Chicago area LEO.

Su Amigo,

I don't get to this website often so just now read your post and saw the pics of your great 44 spl. Thought you might like to see a 44 that I picked up last weekend from an estate that my friend was executor for---the engraving's not particularly well done, but I've seen worse I suppose....

Well, we missed you Dave. Guess you weren't at the gun show. Next one is at the end of February. Charlie Sherrill says he's comin' up. Maybe we'll need a round table with a dozen seats or so. Don't know if you've met him or not, but we could probably get some good story tellin' goin' if we had the time.

You guys postin' pix of the purty guns need to also tell us what they started life as. That last one looks like a round butt conversion. If we don't get an business end look, its hard to even tell the caliber, much less the model. While we all like purdy, its even better if we know what we're oogling.
