Congrats on your mp9.....I also have the manual safety and hav nt had a problems...I did brite sight the sights...in low light conditions could nt see the dots....anyways goodluck be safe!
Welcome and congrats on your new M&P9. I liked mine so much (particularly as a lefty) that I went on to also buy an M&P45. FYI the M&P9 manual advises against using +P ammo.

i saw that in the manual.it doesnt really recommend it but does state if used,it will need to be cleaned more often. it does say to never use +p+ ammo. only after reading that many on here have shot +p ammo with no problems did i buy some. had i read reviews and such stating otherwise i would have any in my inventory.
i will see how things go with the fs at the range and how well i like it in the holsters i ordered.wouldnt rule out a 9c or 40c down the road..
finally able to get out to the range earlier today and throw some rounds down range. had a blast doing that but even more fun after loading the gun and shooting some down range...
not a marksman by any means.gonna need to hit the range often for that. maybe go shooting with my uncle as well. shot mostly the cheaper ammo and a mag of golden saber 124 +p. the gs +p shot clean holes thru the targets where the 115gr ammo left holes looking like they were almost ripped out.
i like the gs 124gr +p but i also want to try out the RA9T if i can find it(had a neighbor serve twice in Iraq that recommended pdx1 but i dont know if i want bonded if it will over penetrate). also want to try speer dot.
can wait to hit the range again.
almost forgot that earlier this week i got in some extra mags from quantico tactical and a foxx hybrid holster. really fast shipping on both orders. the foxx holster holds my fs 9 nicely. can do jumping jacks and it doesnt move.
