Just got the email

The last time I bought primers was in Mar of 2020, right before corona blew everything up, and they were Federal $29.99 per thousand from Natchez. At the time I thought I was making a mistake and was panic buying....boy did that turn out not to be the case. Before that I had made a large order in 2016 from Cabel's and they were S&B and with some coupons and Cabela's points were $16 per thousand.

I know we've had a run of inflation and supposedly commodity prices are up but there's not a whole lot of material in primers and some other manufactured "gun goods" are down, just look at the prices of AR parts and polymer pistols. So I would hope supply would at some point catch up with demand so much so that primers would sit on the shelf long enough for prices to move down.....at least that's what I keep hoping.

I stocked up in 2011 when they were $12-$15/K.
I will never have to buy another primer.
I learned my lesson during the primer shortage of
the '90s.

Currently, the lowest price sticker on my primers is $21/K up to $25/K. All the $20/K and below are all gone but for some older boxes of Winchester SPM primers in the cream and red boxes marked $17.50.
