Just how hot does a Maytag dryer get?

My wife is doing laundry and just brought me two bright shiney FMJ .38 Super rounds that were still warm and smelled April fresh. I must have left them in my pocket when I was shooting Sunday....

So... Just how hot does a Maytag dryer get?
Pretty damn hot but not hot enough to cook off Aquila .38 Supers!

I don’t know how hot a dryer gets, but Mrs. Chad gets pretty hot when I leave a disposable lighter or a tube of Chapstick in my pants.

Thanks to the forum, I now know that Spyderco knives and ammo isn’t good either.

My wife washed & dryed my No. American Arms .22 Mini revolver. It was loaded of course. It was in my Levis back pocket. No harm done to pistol or washer or dryer. I didn't try the ammo however. After a good oiling the pistol functioned fine.

Dryer temperature

Normal exhaust temperature is in the neighborhood of 150 degrees and the drum temp can reach 190 degrees....pretty toasty!!
