Sounds like a great outfit for your 15-22, enjoy!

(The barrel vice blocks are essential, but I hope that you manage to get your flash hider off with less colourful language than it @£&!ing took me!)

Seems real inconsistent, I put mine in the vice jaws and it came right off, very little effort! I got lucky, I guess.

I didn't even need the vice jaws. My first 15-22, the flash hider wouldn't even come off using the vice jaws... the barrel SPUN in the jaws, it was so tight I thought I was going to crush the barrel! However, my most recent 15-22, I put a crescent wrench on the flash hider, held the barrel really tight with my hand and it broke the torque.

Those of you that have done this can imagine how happy I was.

Thank you for your purchase. It will go out this week. We had an amazing run on all our items and we are working at a furious pace to get caught up and get a little into inventory again.
If only S&W could put quality crush washers on all their rifles...I wonder where they could get an American supplier.
Can't wait to see what happens after (or at) the SHOT show.

Thanks for shipping my wrench and barrel vise jaws last week, I'm looking forward to seeing them. I hope my flash hider is one of the easier ones to remove.

How do u hold the barrel to tighten a 6" shroud? Better to use loctite or crush washer?

Hand tight is just fine. When it bottoms out, back it off 1/8 turn or so and twist hard and past to "snap" it home. Check it before and after you shoot.
