I just tried True Blue for the first time today and was very happy with it's performance. I typically shoot 158 gr SWC in 38 Special most of the time. I have been using HP-38 and 244 but find that True Blue shoots faster for standard loads. I haven't shot it enough yet to comment on accuracy and cleanliness but neither seemed to be an issue at today's range outing.

What I can say for sure is that it really does meter like water and powder pulls were always smooth and even. I will definitely shoot more of this powder.

I tested more than a dozen powders under a 125JHP in my 1951 Colt Officer's Model Match .38spl. True Blue was the clear accuracy winner, putting 5 shots in 1.5" at 50 yards. I invested heavily in it.

True Blue is an awesome powder! Im seeing fantastic results in both 44mag and 44Spl with it in a variety of bullet weights.

Since this is a reloading forum I thought I would post my test results using True Blue powder:

I've been using True Blue for a couple years now and have put it in .45acp, .38 special, .357, and 9mm with several bullets and weights both coated lead and copper plated. It has given me nice results in accuracy with all but shines in 38 special and 45. My only sticking point is that it's fine grain and dense so I have to be ultra careful to check levels in taller brass like the 357. There is room to double or even triple charge.

Never used True Blue but I see two of my favorites sitting right next to True Blue on the burn rate chart. WST and Trail Boss have both given me good accuracy in 45 ACP and 38 special. Never get 5 shots in a 1.5 inch ring at 50 yards with any pistol though.

I bought a couple of pounds to keep my PS90 fed. It meters very consistently which is important when dealing with such a miniscule load (5.5gr).

I just wish burn rate charts, even though theyre subjective and approximate, were a little more consistent and closer in their rankings of burn rates, TrueBlue and Silhouette, another great powder, are all over the place.
