Hard to tell but I think once you clean the fingerprints off it'll be a fine looking gun. Under the rubber grips is always a worry though. But here's my question………… you ask a lot about guns and people here. So we want to know about this new Revolverholic on the site. We will need your age, occupation, marital status and city of residence. For starters. At some point there my need to be an intervention.

Right, We'll see when I get the rubber grips off whether there is any rust or….
Hopefully, it'll be good.
I'm not even at 25 Guns yet!! It's not a problem till it reaches?? Another one?
I have my sights l and dibs on a 629 ND 4 inch Which I will be purchasing at the end of October.
I think (think…) That that will be it year.
There are about 10 more on the list that I will collect over time That will finish off the various collections in barrel lengths and finishes of various models. I am interested in.
I guess it all remains to be seen, but even at a stretch, I don't see me ever acquiring more than 50…
This includes things I don't even want yet, but anticipate discovering things that I may want that I do not know exist just yet.
I'm being realistic, but I don't really see me collecting more than 40.

52, married, musician, Tennessee.
Born in England, moved to the US in January 2000.
Always had a fascination with the model 29 and had plastic and metal models/replica as a kid.
Never anticipated owning a real firearm until this Past January.
I see it as somewhat of a savings plan/kinda investment, a learning experience and a lot of fun.
The actual shooting is the cherry on top, but the pie is the owning, the learning, and the appreciation of great craftsmanship and the aesthetics of these fine old revolvers

I think of all the cartridges the 45 Colt is the best one. You bought a revolver that is not too common in nickel with Goodyear grips. Ditch those and find some smooth N Frame S&W target grips.

I think you will like the accuracy!

I'll be putting on football cut targets.
It's the theme for the collection.
I have an 8 3/8 and 4" 25-5 in blue, but this is a nickel and 6". I haven't seen many and the $ seemed pretty reasonable so I couldn't resist.

Congrats on winning a fine revolver! GB write-up says 5-inch barrel.

Yes. There weren't many photos but I can tell it's a 6".
I think they measured from the from of the frame.
I'm not sure they're familiar with it and general SW or they would have taken more time with the details.
At least, that's what I'm gathering.
I figure I paid $100 - $150 less than it might have gone for, but they are rubber grips so..
Still one I obviously couldn't pass up.
Let's see how it is in the metal when it arrives.
