Not certain I have this correct so I'm asking here. Is a K-38 Target Masterpiece made prior to 1957 considered one of the companions to my K-22 serial numbered for 1955? I think the K-32 would be the other one. Just thinking it would be nice to have a .38 Special to take shooting with the .22 LR.

Richard.......Love the TRIPLE CROWN photo!!!
I also have all three in the same vintage, just missing the Gold K-38 box.
Let me know if you know of one available!

There were 2 versions of the post war 5 screw K22 Masterpiece and 5 screw K38 "Masterpiece" , either makes a fine shooting companion to the other but depends how particular you are.

Is your K22 satin or bright blue and does it have the earlier tapered barrel or later wide rib?

It's blue with the wide rib. Definitely a shooter but for now that is what I enjoy. Maybe some collecting of nicer examples later.

RKmesa, thanks for the pictures of those classics.
