I found a nice sw k22 1955 mfg date, little wear on end of barrel, one screw slightly bogered up, one small scratch mark, correct handles, target hammer, blue very good. The best price that I could get them to is 1250 out the door. Tell me if this is decent price or not. Thanks

I think it'd too high for a shooter, but nowadays I think everything is too high...

I'd be interested in the $700-800 range tops.

4th Model (like yours, wide rib, high 90's)---$950
3rd Model (narrow rib, four line, high 90's), $1,175
3rd Model (narrow rib, one line, high 90's), $1,530

When buying a used gun, always check gunbroker to see what they go for and the number you find on gunbroker is probably on the high side vs. something like a local dealer.

1250 is pretty high, even for Gunbroker.

a quick check of nationwide dealers has K22s starting around $900. For a nice 1950s gun they want from $1200 to $1500. Times are changing

But are they selling for that?
I see a lot of K22s listed for at least six months. A few from the big trusted sellers can squeeze that last 3-400 out.

IMHO If you take your time a really nice k22 without the box can be had under 850.00.
especially if its matte finish

I have been helping a buddy find a similar gun and we closed a deal last week for $650... They are out there. I don't think K22's / 17's are sought after as much as other models.

I agree with alwslate. I've seen several in the last month at gun shows that were shooter quality without any extras for around that price. But, I've also seen outrageous asking prices higher than $1200. They aren't selling as I've seen those same ones at several shows now. Supply and demand rules. If some think they can get those asking prices all the power to 'em.

Agreed. I bought this lettered ($100 value) K-22 from 1956 a couple weeks ago for $800 (no box). They're out there for sure!

Yes he did, usually soon after passing on one you figured was too expensive, you run across a lot better deal.
