K-38 Combat Masterpiece (I think)

My niece has a 4" S&W five screw that looks very much like the model 15 that I own, with the exception of the five screws.

I wonder if someone can tell us the manufacture date of this nice old revolver.

The serial number is K 121XXX. Any info would be appreciated.

K121XXX would be 1951. If it is just like the later Model 15, it would be a Combat Masterpiece.
