K frame bolt threads trashed

I just bought a trade in 65-4 from guns.com and the cylinder release flew off on the 4th cylinder. Upon closer inspection, the bolt threads are stripped. It appears to be a universal fit from my searches, is that correct? Where would be the best place to buy from? Numrich and MGW seem to be around $25 for the part. Should I throw a set of wolff springs in while it's apart?

Yes on the springs. Replaced them on my 65-4 and it really makes a difference. Of course, I'm not the best revolver shooter, but it helps.

The nut that holds the thumb piece on is more often the problem. If you're gonna order the bolt, order a new nut too.

Yeah, the nut is definitely getting replaced.

About the springs....there's threads on here about how to adjust the tension on the stock hammer spring and what the specs should be. I personally left the rebound spring stock. I got misfires with an "improved" aftermarket spring by a respected source that wouldn't hold tension.
