K Frame Hammer Trigger Question

Can I replace a Model 686 hammer and trigger with a Model 66 hammer and trigger? Have a M686 with a push off issue (I didn't do the "trigger job"). Just can't pass up a good deal. Thanks in advance.

KLN triggers will interchange but hammers are specific.
ETA:
You might get by w/ swapping trigger. May be worth a try.
The current hammer/trigger may be salvaged depending on condition if someone experienced with an india or similar stone checks it.

I would swap triggers first. It is the trigger that is stoned to correct push-off, so if swapping triggers does the trick, then you need to have the bad trigger taken care of. Easy fix by the way.
