I would really like for S&W to offer some high cartridge capacity .327 Federal Magnum medium and large frame revolvers. Eight, nine or ten shot cylinders.

Scandium frames and titanium cylinders would be a plus.

I'd like a Model 16 with a traditional barrel or possibly a Model 19 style barrel in 6" or even 8-3/8", with interchangeable sights. I'd like it to have thinner precision sights for small game and varminting, instead of the wider combat blades. The old King sights would be perfect. I know a full lug version was made in 32 H&R Mag for a while, but I find the Model 14, 15 and 19 barrels balance better.

I love my seven-shot 386 Mountain Lite in .357 magnum. It weighs only about 18 oz. unloaded.

I propose a 316 Mountain Lite in .327 Federal Magnum with at least eight shots. It should have a 4 inch barrel with interchangeable front sights so that you could have a High-Vis, a Patridge or whatever.

I think this would make a wonderful high power kit gun that would be easy to pack along.

It appears to me that the .327 Federal is gathering momentum and could be the next big thing.

Vonfilm,

A 316 Plus mountain lite! You have described the ideal revolver for me. I thought a 616 would be perfect but you have gone one better. How can we convince S&W to do this?

I think the 316 would possess the "cool factor" but if you have shot a 632, I suspect you would agree that it would be uncomfortable to shoot. The .327 Federal is a "stout" high pressure cartridge and the revolver (shooting it) needs a bit of heft for ultimate control…I have a Modified 16-4 that shoots the .327 and it is close to perfect…..accurate and very controllable. The 632, even ported, is a handful and among my experienced shooting buddies who have said…"let me try that", they take 2 shots and give it back….comments….NOT FUN!.

A model 19 combat Magnum in 327 federal. In nickel I'd buy that.

But let's face wheel gun guys were a dying breed. Today plastic autos is where the $$ is were beating a dead horse.

Unless we could do a group buy?

How about a s&w credit card for s&w purchases? We loyal customers. Let us help u.
