K38 Combat Masterpiece

That's a beautiful Combat Masterpiece Masterbuck54! Congratulations! It just so happens to be one of my favorite S&W models. I have four .38 Combat Masterpieces, three 4", and one 2", and three .22 Combat Masterpieces; they are all Model Numbered versions.

One of these days, I'll find a pre-model version, won't be a birth year unfortunately, 1958 came a little late for that, but when I do find a nice one, you can be sure I'll be depending on you to procure a nice set of vintage Target Stocks. :)

Man, you guys are killin' me!
This has got to be the porniest gun porn thread ever!
LOVE ALL OF YOUR GUNS! Thank you for posting them.

Masterbuck54 - According to my chart, the serial you listed does fall in line with the guns made in 1953.
I love those stocks (the brown ones). Are those Herrett's?
Granted, a nice set of factory target stocks would set that gun off nicely, but what you have there isn't half bad either.
Thank you for posting it. Enjoyed seeing it. =)

The stocks shown in the original post are Sile (rosewood). I knocked out the sile emblem and made the holes larger and inserted the S&W emblems.

Per Mr. Jinks this one shipped in 1954.
