K38 Fixer Upper

Good morning. I picked up a 5 screw K38 Combat Masterpiece a while ago for a reasonable “shooter” price, as it had been refurbished a bit. Part of that included bluing the hammer and trigger.

I’m considering finding and fitting another set, just for the learning experience. Any tips on locating the needed parts? I figured Numrich or Jack’s First maybe? I’d like to get back to the proper case colored look.

I have a matched set that came out of the same gun but you will have to put the double action sear from your existing hammer into this one. It is an older "speed hammer" used in the early 50's. I also have a selection of both standard and target hammers and triggers for the K frame center fire guns.

Life will be a lot more simple for you if you get a hammer and trigger fro he same gun… they will have worn in together.
