Keeping Both Eyes Open

:):):)

I'd like to use whatever caliber Hollywood uses, because all the bad guys go flying backwards after being hit by one handgun round.

That is still a problem. New troops, many never have grown up hunting, arrive in a combat zone with Hollywood's notions of terminal ballistics ingrained. When their unrealistic expectations come up against how much "killing" some guys need, they blame the often unspectacular outcome on either their weapons being deficient and or the enemy being hopped up on drugs or something.

When they complain it took a whole magazine to put a guy down, showing them that there were only two hits is marginally instructive. Telling folks how it really is doesn't seem to work, and some never really seem to figure it out either.
