EDIT: Sorry wrong car, they all look alike to me. 
The wife's bestie is down for a visit, her daughters boyfriend was just driving her * KIA Sorrento* when he noticed smoke coming out the back & flames on both sides. 
The brakes failed completely, he was able to stop by throwing it in park & get the new puppy out of the back while his pants were on fire. The next thing he knew was BOOM, the hood flying up in the air, a mushroom cloud & the car a complete fireball. A kid in a car seat, or an elderly person wouldn't have stood a chance. According to bestie there have been app 240 something very similar fires SUPPOSEDLY no deaths YET. Her *KIA* had 8,000 trouble filled miles on the 2nd motor & other repairs/issues & they wanted to tow the burned out shell back to her apartment & buy her off for 10,000$. She is a paralegal, & not sure where this will end up.
