Kim Ahrends does it again!

Off topic...

JCS&W,

Your 296 looks great... mine usually sports the OEM boots so I can pocket carry it. One day, I had to try wood - service boots - bigger ouch - some Ahrends square conversions - big ouch - then these:

Ouch-b-gone! Of course, it looks hideous with the Hogue .500 Magnum grips. They fit the K/L frame perfectly - as well as the N frames - and even my new 'Z' frame Governor. Ahrends look better.

As to unfinished, yep, he'll ship them that way - same price. Below is my 617 sporting a beautiful cocobolo retro target set I finished in a homebrew penetrating resin oil finish, which darkened the wood substantially. Still, I like the effect.

Top above, on my 627 Pro, is a set of cocobolo retro targets with Ahrends regular lacquer-like finish, slightly modified (I took the shine away with 0000 steel wool and applied a paste wax.). Notice how 'bright' the wood looks - lightens the colors (Actually, the penetrating oil darkens it!).

I, too, have joined the Ahrends parade. Finally - stocks that work for me.
First came my "small" guns, the 4" K and L models:

Then the N frames:

Next up will be the 8-3/8" crew: 29-2, 14-6, and 17-4

All have come from "Gripseller"

Kim, if I may suggest, please radius the side edges at the bottom of your current square butt grips just like you do with the round ones. The retro combats in the picture show what I have in mind.

This change will greatly reduce printing through clothing when bending over or turning the wrong way.

Ditto on that, for sure. I've modified a number of my Ahrends stocks in that manner. In some cases I've also had to enlarge the speed loader cut in order to properly allow a speed loader to release its rounds. I really love my Ahrends stocks, but it's a shame to have to do further work on some of them. Kim could do it so much better to begin with.

Here's an example of the modifications I had to make on these retro targets for a Model 66.
