I'm looking forward to getting the Tiger-striped kitten in about 10 days. I remember when Shasta was one herself. When feeding she would make the cutest sounds like: ffft fftt ffftt myuuunaa nuuaa nuuuaa etc. I especially got a good belly laugh when Shasta had a litter of kittens and watched them at feeding time-after being weaned. They'd all be doing those sounds above-also marking off their feeding territories by using their paws with claws extended, grabbing as much territory as possible. Boy I sure look forward to seeing and hearing that again.

Those who have kittens-please post photos--I'm going through cat withdrawal symptoms just now.

How about a small fat 15 year old kitty cat picture??Had her since she was a baby but any pictures from back then would be on regular film. They qre so sweet when they are very little then they turn into little terrors! Lol Good luck enjoy your new kitten when it arrives!

Thanks gents, that makes my day.

How often do you all snap shots of your kitties? I'm thinking of doing mine about every 4 weeks or so if that's not over-kill? I have shots of Shasta-not as a kitten (unfortunately) but from a few years ago on my phone-and then late last year and shortly before she died this year--on my tablet. They side by side-really shows how much she had changed-from a very healthy cat to what happened in her last months. If I can get all pics together? and get Lisa or someone to post--ill get them here at some point.

Pictured is "Molly", only it turns out its a he, so renamed "Spooky". About 4 1/2 months old now. he is the kitten I found abandoned with his dead siblings in the woods last spring.

Always been a dog guy, and never realized what personalities a cat has. The bed he is pictured on is upside down. He loves it, but will not lay on it unless it is upside down. He likes to explore, and stick his paws anywhere they will fit. He digs up stuff I didn't even know I had. Goes to the Vet next week for the big "snip".

Any of you all feeding yours the Hills Science Diet food? I'm thinking of starting the kitten off with it-just in case it actually works-even if it is more expensive than the stuff on H.E.Bs and WMs shelves.

What do you all feed your cats? I had to feed Shasta her Hills Science Diet food for her Urinary Tract Infection-to try to keep it under control-which it kinda did-but not fully worked. As I now have a bit of extra monies to spend--I want to do things correctly-shots etc.

With kittens, this is a guaranteed formula (and we get a bunch in bad health). Two small cans daily (one in morning and one at night) of Fancy Feast sliced. Then keep a bowl of hard kibble kitten—Science Diet— out all day.

Check--I used to give F.F to Shasta-which made her start eating when she wouldn't eat a thing for about a week-about 2 months or so before her death. Is the other prescription food? I'm also shopping around for another vet and think I found one-never going bck to the two who didn't give Shasta the care I paid for. Ive also since talked with a few others who also had trickery done on them by the same two vets who lied to me as well.

Petco sounds like a good deal-just tried to sign up for delivery service-but internet here is slow and aint happening. I'm awaiting a call back so????

I started mine on canned and kibble. The sister that works for a vet feeds hers science diet and is convinced that the sister using blue buffalo is killing her critters lol.Fig quit eating any canned food I tried at 8 months and is happy with just kibble.

I wonder if I should try giving them raw eggs and milk too? Shasta never liked either-which was the only cat I ever had that never took to either. I also plan on giving tiny bits of Tyson's chicken as well as Soule's Beef (no inserted ingredients) to them as treats.

One of our neighborhood feral cats had a litter back in 2012 and for a couple days she would leave them in the back corner behind our garage hidden in the corner of the compost bin. We got a pic of the little girl who grew up and adopted our neighbors across the street. Her name is now Maggie.

I'll play, Ringo! :D

Newest first: This is Cooper, who we adopted from a rescue a few days after we lost our wolfdog, Kira. My daughter and I saw him over at PetSmart in Lafayette in the adoption center while waiting for the doctor to get there so we could put Kira down and end her suffering and I fell in love with him right away. My wife picked him up shortly after I left for the rig. This pic was taken shortly after he came home; he is now 6 months old and yes, he has grown into those ears. :D

Next Is a couple of pics of Sox, who wandered over to our house around 3 years ago as a kitten. He immediately decided that he would allow us to take him in and feed him and care for him. :D This first pic is when he was a kitten:

This next pic is about a year or so ago and he was with his dogs for this pic. They were great buddies. Kira the wolfdog is gone now and Reno the coondog has gone with his Mommy (my daughter) to Alabama, so it is strictly cats here now:

Next is Nee Nee. She wandered over here as a kitten right after Hurricane Rita had passed and she let us know that she was looking for a house to live at and we were chosen. We figure that she was someone's kitten that got lost from somebody fleeing the hurricane, because she obviously wasn't an outside only cat; no fleas or worms or anything like that. And we thought she was a male cat too and my daughter named her after a character in Star Trek Voyager (Neelix), but was changed to Nee Nee after she came up preggers.

This last pic has Nee Nee in it in the front and one of my all time big buddies, Pepper. He lived to 16 years old. We had to put him down about 2 years ago as he was wasting away and ready to go, poor fellow. Broke my heart to lose him too.:( I wish I had a better pic of Pepper handy, but I don't know where they are at right now.

My cats Ernie and Zoe are 6 now, but here are a couple of not very good pictures of them as kittens.

I'll see your Ernie & Zoe and raise you a Smudge (Sept. 2015, 4 mos. old). Hadn't quite got his claws figured out, though.

We had dogs and they were easy. My dog Spot got every last bite of sandwich I had for years. But then I discovered something my cats loved. Its just whipped cream. I give my favorite a shot on her plate just before bed and then again when she sits on my chest in the morning so I can get back to sleep.
