I fail to see any hysteria in any of my posts. If by making statements that "watch the politicans" or "ammo restrictions might be next", I fail to understand you'll hysteria and multiple posts ridiculing other posters. Last I heard, freedom of speak is still permitted.

I also will say that in reading all of the posts, 1st to last, some posts are hard to find relevant to the OP statement or question.
SOME very well posted, and some, pretty stupid. I try but fail at times to fall within the former and not the latter.

There is a recent thread on this. It cost the FFL or dealer $5.00 (here in FL, FDLE) the FFL gets a separate bill from the FEDS for every phone call. So yes it costs. Many folks go to buy a gun and get denied. They still have to pay the $5 fee

Lucky you. Here (OR) a NICS check is $10

If in OR or FL... your FFL is billed for a NICS check...Your state is doing the check and your state is billing your FFL Not the FEDS.......I've done over a thousand NICS checks in the last 12 years (directly to NICS) fromS. Carolina and I haven't been billed yet....Do I owe someone some $$??? I doubt it!!!!!!!
