Knives: The Other EDC. Let's see em.

I switch off knives quite often.

This is not my EDC gun or knife but I do carry both

WOW! Nice knife!
Who made it?
That knife was made by Pat Crawford in Arkansas. The design is Bob Kasper's.

We have two other similar Crawford knives in the inventory right now, but that one is mine.

I find his Damascus almost mesmerizing. It was a hard choice to settle on just one of them.

I have one of the larger SAKs in each car and carry this little one in my pocket when I leave the house. Use the screwdrivers more than the blades. The little Fenix flashlight is for scale; I carry it in my AWOL bag when I travel. The dime epoxied onto it keeps it from rolling off the bedside table.

Most days a flat-ground Spyderco Endura 4 that a generous friend on this forum gave me. The other days a SOG Flash II assisted-opener, drop-point blade.

Every day a Victorinox Super Tinker for the tools.

Sorry, no pics today. Imageshack isn't treating me very well, or more likely, my old laptop isn't treating Imageshack very well.
My usual rotation is between a couple of different Leeks, a Griptilian, a 551 Mini Barrage and a Sog Spec Elite.

But today, I am driving a shuttle bus for tubers on the Apple River, so I want something obnoxious. Kershaw One Ton. The extra wide blade makes them stand back so I can cut the twine off their tubes without them getting in my way.

I am with eveled

I carry a buck 110 everyday. I have at least 3 of them around the house. Plus one on my belt. If I am upright the 110 is on my belt. JA

If I have front pockets on, I have this 3" Benchmade automatic with a combo edge and a pocket clip. I have been known to go back to the house to retrieve it if I leave without it, which is rare. I also usually have a little Buck or Gerber single bladed folder for light work in the same pocket . . .

Apart from a Spyderco Paramilitary II I normally have a Victorinox SAK in my left pocket. My choices seems to be growing ever so slowly.

From left, 2 SwissChamps, Handyman and Ranger, next Explorer with 3 Huntsman of various vintages, then a Climber, Tinker and Spartan. Last stack is a 108mm German Army Knife, 93mm Alox Farmer and 84mm Recruit.

My son gave me this Benchmade 9100 SBK maybe five years ago. I carry it every day.

This was replaced a few years ago by the 9101 SBK, which has two openings in the spine to allow dirt and debris to fall through. I bought one for my son for his birthday back then.

Is that P7/PSP your EDC too?

This Benchmade Elishewitz-designed 154CM folder and the tiny 3 Sevens Preon P1 pocket flashlight have been carried by me every day for years. The little light runs on one AAA battery (I use the Energizer Lithium version) and puts out enough light to be used tactically. Both it and the knife have come in handy on countless occasions. Once I used the knife to cut a woman out of her seat belt in a wrecked car. Was it Rule 36? Always have a knife. Rule 37 has to be "Always have a flashlight." If you move about at night, it's indispensable. I also carry a cell phone and at least one discreet firearm. Better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them. They are all so light they are pretty much forgotten about in daily activity. I consider each item a small insurance policy.
