Knob Creek weapons shoot ends this October.
Sad news.

Yea, several of my buddies and I had figured we would go, but we HAD it good in N.C., but that went away too.

That is unfortunate. There's a significant group from the sand flats here that attends regularly. My LGS owner will be very disappointed . . .

I have always wanted to see that refurbished quad mount M2 ball turret in action. Well, that and a mini gun.

Well, that is bad news indeed.

I have been to the Knob Creek Shoot and thought it was fabulous. Especially memorable was the night time machine gun shooting with tracer ammo.

It is not an easy place to get to or to find accommodations nearby. I may have to start thinking about an October trip to Knob Creek if this is, indeed, the last one.

It's the cover photo on their FaceBook, and among the 300 comments, the owners repeatedly confirm that this is the last shoot. "Our 50 Year Finale" seems pretty specific. The range, etc. will remain open . . .
